As I already mentioned on my Twitter page, I recently ordered my beloved Filofax Regency in Personal size, black!
At first I was a bit afraid I wouldn’t find purpose for my brown Regency Compact, but I did! I will tell you in another post all about my new system, when it comes to my daily Filofaxes!

But first; the pictures of my new Filofax Regency! I got it of Amazon for a very good price. Had almost 80% discount. I guess it was around 70 GBP.

The light is a bit off. Although the brown Regency is considered the beauty of the two, I really like the black Regency as well! Maybe because I wanted a black binder for now. It’s so classy!

Can’t wait to move in my new Regency. As expected he’s a little wider than the compact size. The leather feels amazing and the glossy finish is great. He is a bit more stiff and a little less soft comparing to the compact. But not too stiff. I like a bit more stiff cover. It is still flexible and less stiff than for instance the Amazona.

Doesn’t lay completely flat out of the box, yet, but I know he will with a little training.
It came with a 2013 day on two pages in cotton cream. I won’t be using this, next your though, since I already bought my diary sheets for next year.

He came with the regular stationary  dividers, Alphabet and all in cotton. I will be using these A-Z pages for archiving my notes in this binder, though. I will show you in another post, soon.

The pockets are amazing! That’s one of the reasons I fell for the Regency. There is one extra credit card slot in the Personal size, comparing to Regency Compact size. The rest of the layout is the same.

I thought about getting the Personal Amazona in Almond as well (still love that color  And is was sooo hard to find), however owing already a Personal sized Amazona in Red, I never could make the pockets work! Especially at the back of the Filo, the zipped pocket.

Regency on the other hand is just perfect! He’s got a full length pouch on the front and on the back of the cover.

As you can see at the back a full length pocket (love it!) and again the pouch. Also a notebook slot  I don’t keep a notebook in there, but some to do/shopping list/sticky notes. But it’s is great to have so many optional AND functional pockets!

They are all easy to access  even if you want to use your binder as a wallet as well  There isn’t a zipped pocket, but for me that is fine.

Pen loop
I don’t have a picture of the pen loop (will do next blog with the set up/tour), but there is 1 pen loop on the right hand side. The pen loop is elasticized! So it fits my four colored Bic Pen beautifully.

Size difference between my two favorite Filo’s.  I really didn’t think I could settle again with a Personal sized FF since I found it so bulky and fat. But, this is my personal/dialy.me and fun Filo. So that’s gonna be fine.

The colour of the brown Compact is still amazing. Black is just different, but I love them both!

I think I will stick with the Regencys for quite a while, since I find them absolutely gorgeous and so functional because of its pockets layout.  For me, best binders so far!

I am also curious after the Holborn. Really like that lay out as well and I understand its leather is so nice and flexible, although not as floppy as the Malden leather. Gotta love that!

The Regency is very structured. He has real charisma and the look and feel just appeals to me!

The lovely ‘vintage’ Windsor in Personal size

Hello again!

Yes.. This is a Windsor Personal size in green! I got it for a vintage price, however it is not used!!! It came in new condition from an actual local store in stationery supplies. Never heard of them, but through Twitter, I saw a tweet from Ling.

Funny thing is, that they have all these older Filofaxes, however, the description of all organizers are almost wrong. This Windsor was called; Filofax Standard and no Windsor was mentioned. For us, Filofax fanatics, it’s not hard to guess what models Filofaxes we are dealing with!

So, I did, yes I did purchase this green Windsor. I didn’t actually move in to it. Since I don’t know yet where I want to use my new Windsor for. Maybe HE’s gonna be my new Fitness Filo in the future, since I decided to return my Filofax Adelphi to FF Denmark and get the refund..

However, I will find good use for the Windsor.. It is great to have an older model in my collection and it’s MY FIRST!

I made some pictures. Moved my stuff in the Windsor, just to give you a good look of how it would look if I did actually move in!

The leather still smell great! It came without a box, though. I find the leather a bit like the Finsburry. It’s quite stiff. Personally, I like other Filo’s better when it comes to the softness of the leather. And also when it comes to my Main binder and my Me binder.

The rings seem to be fine I really like the credit card slots to be horizontal! Also the photo sleeve is cute for keeping pictures or an ID card if you want to use the Windsor as a wallet.

Love the gold letters, instead of the embossed Filofax logo. Makes it look very vintage

To give you a good impression how Windsor looks ‘filled up’ with all my cute stuff.

 Well, I hope you enjoyed a peak at my new Windsor. I love having an older model! I ordered some cool scrapbook paper I found on eBay the other day, to spice up my future Fitness Binder! I might even use Mr. Windsor for the Fitness goals, since this Windsor is not a typical Me binder. I miss the softness of the leather and the strokability.

However, I am very pleased with my new Windsor! The Personal Windsor is also featuring my Filofax Personal Collection.

 Review; Filofax Personal size Metropol in Lavender

Hi there,

I’m currently working on completing the Blog. For me this means, the Blog is properly updated as I realize having a Blog is an ongoing process. Same as using Filofaxes.

Right now, I’m working hard to give more insight in the Filofaxes I own or the ones I’ve previously owned. For other Filofax users and my Blog followers reviews are very informative and therefore useful in selecting a Filofax or during your hunt after a specific one.

Me & Metropol

A while ago, when I was just back in Personal size again, I was on a real shopping spree. For some reason the Metropol in Lavender kept popping up online everywhere!  I decided I wanted one! I’d found one on Amazon UK and ordered it straight away.

I’ve never used the Metropol and only moved in to do the pictures for the Blog, as I already was in my Personal Regency and really want to stay in there!

About the Metropol

This color in Personal size was actually hard to find!

• Smooth leather look PU with subtle grain effect

• Ring Mechanism Size: Six rings of 23 mm
• Left: Four vertical cut out credit card pockets, two vertical turned edge pockets with full length pocket behind, PU pen loop.

Review

I haven’t been using this Filofax as I was already in my dream Filofax at the moment. I’d gotten very curious after reading several blogs about it and seeing several You Tube videos.

It being non  leather isn’t much of an issue to me. It’s very soft to the touch, however less flexible due to the material which makes sense to me.

It being PU leather look also has its advantages as it’s very light in terms of weight to carry around.

Color
The color is really a true lavender color.  I like the color. The stitching isn’t matching, but it look pretty good on the binder.

Rings
It came in perfect condition and with perfect rings. No gaps or closure / opening issues

Content
It came with regular diary and inserts.

Pockets
The pockets on the right need to be stretched out a little since it’s PU leather.
I really like the mesh note pad holder. In case you’d like to put in here cute stickers an random notes, it’s very nice you can see through the holder. In case you’d like to add a note pad in here, it’s highly functional.

Pen Loop
The pen loop is fine. It fits a regular pen. You may have to stretch it out a little as it’s not elasticated. There’s even TWO pen loops in here which I’m a big fan of!

Recommendation?
I’d highly recommend this Filofax for everyone who’d like to add a fashion / bright color to its collection. It’s affordable and if you’re looking on eBay and so on, you could get a for a true bargain.

You can tell it’s not leather, however it’s a quick fix if you need a change. For those you’ve never owned a FF before and want to start using one, it’s the perfect start given the price.

Filofax Pocket Panama in Dark Green still in the box

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a proper arrival post with pictures! Well, wait no longer; here it is!
As I’m updating my reviews on the Blog, I might as well review the Panama!

Me & Panama

I’ve seriously considered the Panama before. When I was in Personal size I’d been hunting it down online. I didn’t cave, though! I just purchased another Filofax

I just couldn’t let this time pass by, as it was on sale on Filofax France and 70% off! Really tempting. Tomorrow, I’m expecting my VDS custom design organizer.

I’ve been in the Panama since it arrived two days ago. This is the third day I’m in there.

         Almost there! Very excited to show you guys this!

About the Panama

I’ve ordered the Dark Green. It’s a really dark shade of green almost black. Which matches perfectly to the contrasting interior in nude/tan. There’s gold rings!!!! And gold hardware. I really think they should make more binders with gold rings. It’s just divine! I love, love, love this. It totally matches the luxurious look and feel of the Panama! Great job, Filofax.

Here it is! It’s just lovely! The front of the Panama. The leather is totally gorgeous. 

Material

• Luxuriant, subtly textured Italian deluxe leather with contrasting cream leather interior in a gold color metal clasp and ring mechanism.

Features

• Ring Mechanism Size: Six GOLD(!!!) rings of 19 mm
• Left: Secretarial pocket, three cut edge credit card pockets
• Right: One full length zippered pocket and elasticated/partial leather pen loop

Review

When it came in, I immediately unwrapped it. I was walking the dog at the time and just couldn’t wait to get inside to open it. I loved  it straight away and moved in from my Pink Pocket Classic.

The rings being gold is just pure lush! Really like it! The fastening is just not me. That’s actually the only down side to this Filofax! The fastening is really tiny and it’s kind of a struggle to open it quickly. I’ve kept it in my bag un closed as I just had my nails done and it’s pain to open it this way.

The rest of the binder is just gorgeous. It does lay flat, straight out of the box. Even though there’s a full width external pocket present! I usually don’t like those on a pocket size, especially when you don’t tend to use this as a wallet and it prevents the binder from laying flat. On the Panama it doesn’t! I even keep forgetting about this pocket being there. For instance on the Amazona in Pocket this feature does obstruct the binder from laying flat, which is kind of annoying. The secretarial pockets are considered to help you out in case your Filo need proper training to lay lat. This one is just a bonus as it already lays flat!

Although the cover is a bit card board like. Like the Osterley (something a do not really like on the Osterleys) and therefore has not that extra padding I highly prefer, it doesn’t bother me on the Panama. This is duet o the fact it has the subtle grain on the leather, which looks really sophisticated. The Osterley has this ‘print’ which comes across as a bit fake and painted on. The Panama doesn’t have that particular issue as it has no print. Really nice!

Color
The dark green comes across as black. Especially on pictures and on the Filofax website. However in real live it is green. This matches totally well to the tan colored leather in the interior. I do prefer the green over the maroon. It looks like black, but in fact it’s green! Such a nice touch to the color.

Rings
I’ve never seen gold rings and hardware on any binder! This one does has that. I just wish they’d existed more!!! It’s the best ever! The rings on my Panama are in perfect condition. No gaps or any of that sort. The whole binder came properly wrapped in its original box in the mail.

Content
It came with the cotton cream, French, lined Week on 2 Pages. Those have the time slots on the diary pages. I used to use this lay out before in a Pocket Malden to write down my appointments. I won’t be using it anymore though, as I currently use Day Per Page and/or Paperchase undated Day Per Page with notes.

Special features
It can hold a lot. The rings are the ‘larger’ pocket size rings, 19 mm. The gold rings make it really worth while and extra special.

Fastening
I do not  prefer this fastening although it looks really lovely. It’s not very handy to open quickly. It does allow to over stuff your Filo, as it’s not the regular button system. It’s a bit like the fastening of the Dominos.

Pockets
The secretarial pocket on the left is just lovely. It can hold a lot of stuff and it’s supple leather.
The zippered pocket on the right is easy to access. I don’t have anything in there at this point, but it could hold coins and things like that.

The external full width pocket is a nice extra feature to have in case you’d like to put receipts in there or even cash or just some stickers that won’t fit the other pockets.

Pen Loop
The pen loop is partial leather and partial elasticated which is very sufficient if you’d like to keep in here a bigger pen. I have a Coleto 4 color pen in here to give you the estimate. I also keep one of the Leuchtturm adhesive pen loops in here to store an extra pen.

Recommendation?
I’d highly recommend this Filofax for  everyone who’s looking for a full leather, high quality Filofax. I guess it’s hard to come across one as they’re discontinued. If you find one, it will be on sale.
